IT ALL STARTED IN 1972...

when Jack Minnow opened Jack's Sign Shop in an old Italian market on the North Side of Endicott, New York in Little Italy. Jack and his wife, Alice, spent their days hand painting signs for local businesses, baseball sponsor signs, and screen printing hundreds of signs for local politicians. Their business grew slowly but steadily, eventually using a computer and a vinyl plotter to apply graphics to company vehicles and store front windows. As they aged, they began to look for an ambitious younger person to take over the family business for them.

In 2001, when Jim Taber came to Jack and Alice to get decals on his work van for the construction company he worked for, he instantly fell in love with the trade. A craftsman at heart, and with an entrepreneurial spirit, Jim was drawn to the creativity and care involved in creating signs. For 16 years, the business grew in leaps and bounds, eventually becoming national sign company JAX Signs & Neon, Inc. Their scope of work included everything from high-rise pylons, to full vehicle wraps, to custom fabricated channel letters, to high definition LED displays.

In 2017 Arch Digital Community Gateways was formed. Borrowing from the years of experience and craftsmanship of JAX Signs, Jim and his son Nathan began working hard to bring their vision to life. We have our first two signs launching in late 2017.
